Attorney – Amy K. Witherite
Amy was raised and educated in Fort Worth, Texas, and she became a notable, scholarship athlete for a top 10 women’s swimming program. She was accepted into Texas Tech School of Law, and following graduation she began to work for one of the oldest and biggest law firms in Texas in 1993. Two years later, Amy relocated her practice to an insurance defense law firm, as she acquired the strategy and procedures that insurance companies use to represent healthcare providers. Amy utilized this “insider” knowledge to defend injured victims involving physicians, hospitals, and nursing homes. In 2001, she and Brian A. Eberstein founded Eberstein & Witherite, LLP, a practice that specializes in defending injured Texans, and protecting the rights of victimized Texas businesses.
Amy is board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and her peers have selected her as a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly magazine from 2003 through 2007. Texas Super Lawyers also named her one of the 50 Best Women Lawyers in Texas. Amy attends numerous legal seminars in the fields of nursing home litigation and medical malpractice as a featured speaker, in addition to her legal practice. She is a member of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, a fellowship member and on the Board of Directors of Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Past Chair of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association Board of Advocates.
